WATER SYSTEMS

Water… The Foundation Of Life.

Water is essential for everything. We drink it, cook with it, and bathe in it, among many other things. There’s not really such a thing as “pure” water though. At least, not for anyone outside a hospital or laboratory. There are millions of contaminants that can exist in your water. Some put there by nature, and some put there by mankind. Not all contaminants in water are harmful, or even bad; but there are definitely some that could be harmful to your health and property if not removed.

Despite there being so many contaminants, they all fall into just a few categories. These include: Sediments, Chemicals, Organic Matter, Heavy Metals, Minerals, Solvents, Micro Particles, Parasites, Bacteria, and Viruses. Fortunately, all of these can be filtered out completely, or substantially, with a few various methods which we will discuss below.

The Importance Of Clean Water

Access to water is a basic human right, yet many people around the world suffer from illnesses, medical conditions, and even death, due to the lack of clean water consumed on a daily basis. Quality water filtration plays a crucial role in ensuring that this vital part of human health is free from contaminants and safe for consumption.

The Need For Clean Water:

Clean water affects all aspects of our society and plant, making it one of the most important human needs.

  • Health: Clean water is vital for the proper functioning of our bodies. Consuming contaminated water can lead to various waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. Some medical and mental conditions have also even been traced back to contaminated water sources.

  • Hygiene: Clean water is necessary for everyday hygiene practices such as washing hands, bathing, and cleaning. Without clean water, the risk of spreading infections and diseases greatly increases.

  • Appliances: Many appliances use water in your home, and some of the contaminants in water can be harmful, reducing their life span and effectiveness.

  • Agriculture: The use of clean water outside for irrigation and animals is very important when it comes to your pets, plants, and gardens, ensuring a safe community for everyone.

  • Ecosystem: Water is an important habitat for many species of plants and animals on our planet. By putting clean water back into our ecosystem, we help improve the health of our planet, which benefits us all!

How Water Filtration Works:

Water filtration is a process that removes impurities and contaminants from water, through various processes. Some of the most common processes are listed here:

  • Sedimentation: In this process, large particles and sediments are allowed to settle at the bottom of a container, leaving cleaner water on top.

  • Filtration: Water is passed through various layers of filters made of fabric, polypropylene, and charcoal, to remove smaller particles, impurities, and chemicals.

  • Reverse Osmosis: This method uses a semipermeable membrane to remove a plethora of sub micron molecules and particles, producing some of the cleanest drinking water possible.

  • UV Treatment: Ultraviolet (UV) light is used to disinfect water by killing bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms present in the water.

  • Chlorination: Chlorines and chloramines are often used in water to kill bacteria and other pathogens, reducing the risk of illness from city water sources.

Even with modern science and technology, not all aspects of water contaminants are currently understood. Luckily, there are a ton of effective and affordable options for making sure that your water is as safe and clean as possible. This means improved health, reduced costs, and a better future for our planet.

Products

Whole Home Water Filtration

  • Whole home water filtration does a great job at providing basic water purification for your entire house or business. These will range from 1 to 4 stages on average, with varied sizes depending on your flow rate.

  • Whole home water filtration unites can range between $60 and $600 dollars in cost, not including intallation and filters.

Water Softeners

  • Water softeners are the most effective way to prevent scaling in your home. These sytems use two tanks to store both resin beads and salt, and will require some room to be installed.

  • Water softeners can range in price from $1000, to $5000 not including installation and salt.

Reverse Osmosis

  • A Reverse Osmosis system is the most aggressive form of water purification that you can get. These systems include at least 3 stages of filtration, a separate faucet for the purified water, and a small tank that stores the water as it is being purified.

  • Pricing for an RO System can range Between $100-$1000 not including filters and installation.
